Larry McCray (Arkansas/Michigan)Power blues certainly has its place on the Bash line-up and who better to represent this genre than the inimitable Larry McCray? While his Southern roots always show through, Larry's music has all the power & fury of a Midwestern blast furnace. A veteran of the international blues scene, Larry McCray, his guitar & vocals, and his muscular band (oftentimes including the illustrious Johnny B. Gayden on bass) are mentioned in the same breath as luminaries such as Albert King and Freddy King, and other reps of the genre such as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Michael Burks. This is big stuff, so hang on tight! |
