Blues Festivals 2016

If you are passionate about live music and blues in particular you might be interested in attending the following blues festivals which are to take place this year.

1. The International Blues Challenge

The 32nd (2016) International Blues Challenge will take place on January 26-30, 2016 in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee, in the Beale Street Historic District. It will start on Tuesday night (Jan 26) with the International Showcase. Quarter finals are scheduled to be conducted Wednesday and Thursday night (January 27-28). Youth Showcase and Semi Finals will be held Friday evening (Jan 29). Saturday (Jan 30) IBC will conclude with Finals in the beautiful Orpheum Theatre.

2. Destination Blues Music Festival

This festival will be held on February 19-21, 2016 in Berwick, Bloomsburg, and Danville, Pennsylvania, USA. Among the headliners are Samantha Fish, Harper, Cedric Burnside Project, and more. No charge for kids 12 and under.

3. Charlie Musselwhite & North Mississippi Allstars at Uptown Theatre Napa

This event will be on February 19, 2016 in Uptown Theater, Napa, California, USA. Headliners are: Charlie Musselwhite, North Mississippi Allstars.

4. Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival

Visit Coachman Park in Clearwater, Florida, USA, on February 20-21, 2016 to enjoy the live performances by Sharon Jones And The Dap-Kings, Beth Hart, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones.

5. Boquete Jazz Festival

Boquete Jazz Festival invites the guests on February 25-28, 2016, Boquete, Chiriqui, Panama, Valle Escondido. The following headliners will perform: Lee Oskar, Tommy Castro, Curtis Salgado, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Marshal Keys.

6. Lancaster Roots & Blues Music Festival

Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, is home to the annual Lancaster Roots & Blues Music Festival. This year the event will take place in multiple venues on February 26-28, 2016. Headliners will include: The Wood Brothers, Tinsley Ellis, Maceo Parker.

7. Bonita Blues Festival

Held in Bonita Springs, Florida, USA, Riverside Park on March 11-12, 2016, the festival will feature Sonny Landreth & Mel Melton, Nick and Joe Moss, Shawn Holt and the Teardrops, Albert Castiglia.
